Organization

When everythinggoes through the boss

The company has grown, the organization has not. We distribute responsibility so that decisions are made where the knowledge is.

In short

Organizational consulting at FNLY Consulting means clarifying roles and responsibilities, building a leadership structure that fits your size and defining decision paths. The result is an org chart, role descriptions and clear rules on who decides what. Typical for companies from about 20 employees whose owners are overloaded with operations.

Signs that the organization has not grown with you

  • Approvals wait for leadership, even for small amounts
  • Employees ask instead of deciding
  • Responsibilities are not written down anywhere, just known
  • Leadership vacations slow the company down
  • Good people leave because they see no room to act
  • The same mistakes happen again and again at the same handoffs

What we build together

Roles and responsibility

Who is responsible for what, and what can each role decide on its own?

Leadership structure

Matched to your size: from about 20 employees a second management level, from about 50 departments with their own responsibility.

Decision paths

Clear limits for approvals, budgets and exceptions. Fewer follow-up questions, faster decisions.

Meetings

A few regular meetings with a clear purpose instead of many hallway conversations.

Handoffs

Where tasks move between departments, we record who delivers and who takes over.

Rollout in the team

New roles are developed with the people affected, not over their heads.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

At what size does a company need a second management level?

There is no fixed number. In practice it gets tight between 15 and 25 employees if everyone reports directly to leadership. What matters is how many decisions land on the leadership's desk each day.

How do you prevent the team from rejecting the change?

By having the people affected help develop their roles. We design the target picture with leadership and then sharpen it in workshops with the future owners.

What does organizational consulting cost?

You start with the Business Assessment for $3,900 net. For the target picture and workshops we usually plan three to five days at $1,350 net each. Support afterwards is optional and can be canceled monthly.

Do you also help fill new leadership roles?

We describe the role and its requirements and, if you wish, support conversations with internal candidates. We do not offer recruiting services.
